Intended for players of any age and either gender who want the flexibility of
playing their round any time during the week during the season.
Description:
A two person team handicap league playing 9
holes once a week for the duration of the season. Participants have the
option of playing their rounds anytime during the week, Sunday through
Saturday, when tee times are available.
The 2010 Season:
Note: The 2010 season offers an extended season that
corresponds with the Tuesday Men's League and the Thursday Match Play
League. It continues to offer a Summer only session as well.
The new season expands the four tournaments to four weeks each (from two
weeks). A mid season two person nine hole scramble is also added
along with an ending two week team flighted tournament (extended session
olny). And, for the first time, a Grand Poobah Award will be given;
this award will recognize teams and individuals for their performance in
both regular season and tournament competition.
Date: Week of April 11:
-Preseason 2 person Mixed League 9 hole scramble (with partner or other
league member or substitute)
-Extended season registration; Summer session can register at this time
and up to the week of May 30th
Date: Week of April 18th: Extended Season begins.
Note: Summer only section of the Community League: begins the week of May
30th and ends after play the week of August 22nd (those returning to
school have the option of playing 18 holes the first two weeks of August
rather than 9 holes each of the first four weeks of August).

June 6th, 13th and 20th. Note: Summer section

holes with partner or other league member or substitute

Team Match Play Tournament: Weeks of July 4th, 11th,
18th and 25th

Individual Flighted Tournament: Weeks of August 1st,
8th, 15th and 22nd. Note: Those Summer League
players who are returning to school have the option of playing 18
holes each of the first two weeks of August to complete their season.

September 5th

Post Season:
September Challenge - 2 person 27 hole handicapped game over a three week
period:
-Scramble: Week of September 12th

Scoring:
* Individuals play against the field and receive 2
points for each golfer beat, one point for each golfer tied (net score).
* Teams play against the field and receive 2 points for each team beat,
one point for each team tied (net score).
* The sum of each player's net score equals team net score.
* To speed play, individuals should pick up after reaching twice par.
Substitutes, No Shows:
* Substitutes are allowed during regular season play.
Team points earned go to team; individual points earned go to substitute.
* Where there is only one player per team, a ghost substitute will be
used. Ghost substitutes have a handicap of zero and score bogeys on the
first 5 handicap holes. (Suggest you find a sub; sub list will be posted
on bulletin board.)
Fees and Charges: League entry fee: $35 for Extended, $20 for Summer, per individual
payable 1st day of play.
